Hello,

I was wondering what was out there. Ever since StumpTown was purchased
by Pete's Coffee the quality of their brews, including their house brew
Hair Bender has gone in a downward spiral since the organizational
changes. In addition to that, StumpTown has become harder to obtain due
to all the local coffeehouses boycotting it now that it is no longer
locally owned.

I am aware of several other local breweries including Flag&Wire, that
other brand most of the shops serving stumptown switched to, and Umbria.

The first two (not umbria) seem to confuse coffee with wine and make it
sour, with fruit tastes rather than earthy tastes infused. I can't
stand that. I understand some people like sour coffee but not me.

Besides Umbria, what other PNW coffee would you recommend trying?

That's too bad. I live in Peet's country, used to work around the
corner from the first Peet's on Walnut and Vine in Berkeley, CA.
Their coffee has stayed pretty consistent, I wonder why them buying
ST would make a difference in their operations.
