While recently visiting the Denver area (Thornton and downtown), we had several
cups of coffee from Dazbog Coffee and were impressed. As a matter of fact, I'm
sitting here enjoying a large cup of drip made from finely-ground decaf Troika
Espresso beans right now. In addition to the deep flavor, it has a most unusual
brightness that I haven't tasted in a long time. Top-notch stuff.

The only negative so far is that you must ignore the recommendations on both
their bags and their Web site to use a blade grinder. I have no idea why they do
that, along with recommending precise grinding times. Shudder.

I see they have shops in Colorado Springs and other towns. Have any of you
Colorado folks tried them? Does their quality hold up at all their locations?

When I started my espresso experience DazBog was one of the 1st local
roasters I tried. They were still small enough they would sell you
coffee right from their headquarters. There advertising is a thing of
beauty. Growth appears to be huge. I found the roast of their
"WhiteKnights" espresso good but a bit dark for my taste. If you
return to colorado try "Cafe Novo" IMO head and shoulders above.

Loring,
My local roaster recently changed owners, and the espresso roast
isn't nearly as good of a roast as it was. It was a Dietrich,
but is now something called "Crow Foot Vallley Coffee" roasted
down in Castle Rock. But, I'm just not a fan of the roast.
A I'm in SE Denver - where can I get Cafe Novo?

I found:
http://www.fluidcoffeebar.com/driver.aspx?topic=novo

It says "Located in 'Uptown' on 19th and Pennsylvania,
Fluid Coffee Bar provides a unique mix of semi-private
and shared meeting space in a cozy and friendly coffee
bar environment."

Is that the right place to go for beans?

Thanks,
John
